Ingredients
  

For the Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
Optional Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet and cook salmon skin-side down for 4 minutes.
  3. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon juice for sauce.
  5. Simmer sauce in skillet and add cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  6. Return salmon to pan and coat with sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Do not overcook the salmon.
  • Spoon sauce over salmon while cooking for extra glaze.
