  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • ¾ cup pumpkin puree
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together all dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Mix pumpkin puree, sugars, butter, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop dough onto tray and bake for 12–14 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.
