Ingredients
  

Salmon Patty Base
  • 2 cups cooked salmon flaked
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For Frying
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
Optional Serving Additions
  • Lemon wedges
  • Tartar sauce or yogurt sauce
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Method
 

  1. Combine salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Mix gently until ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Divide mixture and shape into eight patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes on the first side.
  6. Flip and cook for another 3–4 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drain briefly on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add extra breadcrumbs if the mixture feels too wet.
  • Wet your hands slightly before shaping patties to prevent sticking.
  • Make patties uniform in thickness for even cooking.
  • Cook patties undisturbed to build a crisp crust.
  • Use a thin spatula for easier flipping.
