Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 2 Cups

Ingredients

For the Pumpkin Spice Base
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or brown sugar for deeper flavor)
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin spice blend
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Latte
  • 1 cup milk (whole milk or your preferred option)
  • ½ cup strong brewed coffee or espresso (about 1–2 shots)
For Garnish (Optional)
  • Whipped cream
  • Extra pumpkin spice or ground cinnamon

Method

  1. Heat pumpkin purée, sugar, and pumpkin spice in a saucepan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, stirring constantly to develop flavor.
  2. Add milk and whisk thoroughly, heating gently for 3–5 minutes until steaming but not boiling to maintain a smooth texture.
  3. Blend the mixture using a blender or immersion blender for 20–30 seconds until completely smooth and slightly frothy.
  4. Brew strong coffee or espresso fresh to ensure a bold base that balances the sweetness.
  5. Pour coffee into mugs, add pumpkin milk mixture, and stir in vanilla extract for a well-rounded flavor.
  6. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of spice, then serve immediately while hot for best results.

Notes

  • Always cook the pumpkin mixture briefly before adding milk, as this removes the raw taste and enhances the spice aroma.
  • Use freshly brewed coffee instead of reheated coffee to maintain a clean and rich flavor profile.
  • Blend the mixture thoroughly to achieve a smooth, café-quality texture without graininess.
  • Adjust sugar and spice levels gradually so you can customize the drink without overpowering it.
