Method
 

  1. Mash ripe avocados in a bowl.
  2. Add lime juice and salt immediately.
  3. Fold in onion, tomato, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  4. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  5. Chill briefly if desired and serve fresh.

  • Use avocados that yield slightly to pressure.
  • Always add lime juice early to prevent browning.
