Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C and prepare an 8-inch cake pan
- Mix all dry ingredients in one bowl
- Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl
- Combine wet and dry mixtures, then add hot liquid
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 30–35 minutes
- Cool and spread chocolate ganache if desired
Notes
- Use coffee instead of water to deepen chocolate flavor
- Don’t overmix the batter
