Ingredients

Protein Base
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie or boiled)
Creamy Components
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup ½ cup mayonnaise
Flavor & Heat
  • ¾ cup buffalo sauce (adjust to spice level)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
Cheese Blend
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Optional Garnish
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method

  1. Add shredded chicken to the crockpot, ensuring it is evenly spread for consistent cooking.
  2. Mix cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a bowl until smooth and lump-free.
  3. Stir in buffalo sauce and seasonings, making sure the mixture is evenly flavored before adding.
  4. Combine the mixture with chicken in the crockpot and stir thoroughly to coat every piece.
  5. Cook on low for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally to maintain a smooth consistency.
  6. Add shredded cheese near the end and allow it to melt fully before serving.
  7. Garnish and serve warm directly from the crockpot for best results.

Notes

  • Always soften cream cheese fully before mixing to avoid lumps and ensure a creamy texture throughout the dip.
  • Stirring periodically during cooking helps prevent uneven heating and keeps the dip from sticking to the edges.
  • Adding cheese at the end preserves its smooth melt and prevents oil separation.
  • Adjust buffalo sauce gradually so you can control the spice level instead of overpowering the dish.
