Creamy Homemade Boba Tea Recipe With Brown Sugar

A creamy and sweet homemade brown sugar boba tea made with chewy tapioca pearls, strong black tea, and milk.

Ingredients
  

For the Boba Pearls
  • ½ cup tapioca pearls boba
  • 4 cups water
For the Brown Sugar Syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
For the Tea Base
  • 2 cups strong brewed black tea
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Boil water and cook tapioca pearls for 15 minutes until chewy.
  2. Make brown sugar syrup and coat pearls in the syrup.
  3. Brew strong black tea and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. Add pearls and syrup to the bottom of glasses with ice.
  5. Pour tea and milk into the glass and stir gently.

Notes

  • Always use freshly cooked boba pearls for the best texture.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing condensed milk or syrup.
