Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 tbsp butter for toasting buns
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Extra ranch dressing
  • Sliced red onion

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly wider than the buns.
  3. Heat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness (internal temperature 160°F).
  5. Butter and toast burger buns lightly.
  6. Assemble burgers with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the beef to keep burgers tender.
  • Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
  • Let burgers rest for 2–3 minutes before serving for juicier results.
