Ingredients

For the Biscuit Pizza Crust
  • 1 16-ounce can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, for dusting
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
For the Sausage Gravy
  • 12 ounces breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
For Topping and Finishing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or chives

Method

  1. Flatten biscuit dough into a large round and brush with melted butter. Par-bake at 400°F for 8 minutes.
  2. Cook sausage in skillet until browned, then sprinkle with flour. Slowly stir in milk and simmer until thick gravy forms.
  3. Spread warm sausage gravy over crust and top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  4. Bake 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
  5. Rest briefly, garnish if desired, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Press biscuit seams firmly so crust bakes evenly.
  • Add milk gradually for smooth, lump-free gravy.
  • Par-bake crust to avoid a doughy center.
  • Use warm gravy for easier spreading.
  • Let pizza rest before slicing for cleaner cuts.
